Conservas, preserved or canned foods, are considered a delicacy in Spanish food and wine culture. Unlike much of the canned or tinned foods sold in the United States, Spanish conservas are preserved from the best sources at the absolute pinnacle of freshness. Seafood conservas are particularly prized.
Ben Martin, the American half of Spanish-American Wine Merchant (SAWM) Imports will be on hand introducing Durham to the culture and delights of Spanish conservas. He also brings in some killer wines, which will take over our wine list for the evening.
We will have conservas and snacks on the bar from 6-8 pm as SAWM takes over our by the glass wines for the night.
